Serena Curry is the Director of National Program Development and is responsible for identifying new areas of growth for Child First services. She has dedicated her career in the non-profit and government sectors to supporting children and families impacted by trauma and gender-based violence. Most recently, during her time at the New York City Mayor’s Office, Ms. Curry trained thousands of direct service practitioners on trauma-informed practice and on promoting equity in services for people impacted by violence. As a former direct service practitioner, she has experience providing crucial support services for people impacted by interpersonal trauma, and she was the architect of a county-wide response protocol to identify and serve youth impacted by human trafficking in New York State. Ms. Curry holds a Master of Science in Urban & Public Policy from The New School and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and International Studies from Loyola University Chicago.
