Jessica Canavan, LCSW, is the National Clinical Manager for Child First. Ms. Canavan holds a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Neuroscience from Northeastern University (Boston, 2009) and a Master of Social Work from University of North Carolina Wilmington (Wilmington, 2014). She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina, with experience providing mental health treatment to infants, toddlers, children, adolescents, women, and families in both home-visiting and outpatient settings. Ms. Canavan's areas of focus include trauma, perinatal depression, mood and anxiety disorders, women with substance use disorders, and infant/young child mental health. She is a rostered provider of Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) and is a trained Child First provider. In addition, Jessica provides clinical supervision and consultation. Ms. Canavan is the former Assistant Director of Community Based Family Services with Coastal Horizons Center in Wilmington, NC, and joins the National Service Office as the National Clinical Manager for Child First.
